Picker Technical Manual

A functional button face for a removable button can be made with objects commonly found around the house (). Measure the buttonhole on your clothing to figure out what size the found object’s diameter should be. Generally a button's diameter is 6mm / 1/4" less than the length of the buttonhole. Properly sized buttons are short enough to slip through easily and long enough to prevent the buttons from coming undone accidentally. You will need to make a hole in the object for the screw to go through (). To do so, assemble the following tools: safety glasses (), permanent marker, power drill, metal drill bit size 1/8”, small piece of scrap wood (to protect the work surface), and a clamp. Warning: always take proper safety precautions while using power tools.
