  1. Use a set of heavy weight pliers with a sharp cutting edge and cut the tack from the back of the waistband. Working from the inside insures that if the cloth gets damaged during removal, it will be less noticeable ().
  2. When the tack is snipped through, remove the metal pieces from both sides.
